Holly Powe is the Fine Arts Lead Faculty and Choral Conductor at Calhoun Community College, where she has taught for eight years and teaches voice lessons at Valley Conservatory. She has also been an adjunct faculty member at Alabama A&M University and Faulkner University. Ms. Powe studied voice with Susan Fleming as well as conducting with Sandra Willetts, Granville Oldham, and Gerald Welker.

Ms. Powe is a guest conductor and soloist at special events, festivals and church services throughout the Southeast. She was a member of both the Moses Hogan Chorale and the Moses Hogan Singers, with whom she toured Europe twice and recorded several albums. She has won competitions sponsored by the National Association of Teachers of Singers and is a frequent adjudicator at local, state and regional festivals in both classical and popular genres.

Ms. Powe received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa and a Master of Education in Music from Alabama A&M University. She is currently a fellowship recipient pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting with a minor in Higher Education Administration at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.
