Granville Oldham has appeared in approximately two-thirds of the United States as well as various cities in Jamaica,
Mexico, Canada, Africa and Australia as a festival/All-State conductor, workshop presenter, clinician, adjudicator or
performer.

Mr. Oldham received his second MA degree from San Jose State University in conducting with Dr. Charlene Archibeque,
his first MA in Special Education from the University of the Pacific School of Education, and a BM from The UOP
Conservatory of Music while studying with Dr. Lawrence McQuerry and William Whitesides. He also studied at the Flora L. Thornton School of Music at The University of Southern California with Dr. William Dehning and Dr. David Wilson.

During his 20 years of teaching Granville Oldham has been on the faculties of Pittsburg H.S. in California, Los Medanos Community College, San Jose State University, The University of Alabama School of Music and The University of
Southern California Thornton School of Music. He has also worked extensively with children at The Alabama Choir School, the renowned Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, and the LA’s BEST After School Arts Program.

Mr. Oldham is a contributing author to “The Choral Cookbook,” and “In Quest of Answers: Vol. II.” He also appears in the 2005 Marquis “Who’s Who in America.”

He is currently the director of the Cathedral Choir at the historic landmark Second Baptist Church of Los Angeles. He also has a voice studio in Los Angeles and is the choral adviser for World Projects International Production Music Tours.

Mr. Oldham’s 2007-2010 professional travels will take him numerous places including Carnegie Hall in New York, The Sydney Opera House in Australia, London, Honolulu, and Shanghai.
