About
Valley Conservatory
The Valley
Conservatory is a music service center with programs designed to develop all
aspects of the students’ mind, body and character. Our programs incorporate
the Holistic Approach to Learning to develop the “total student”
through the medium of music.
The Valley Conservatory
specializes in four areas:
Students
who study at the Valley Conservatory receive comprehensive training
in learning how music and the arts relate to the overall sphere of
life. The Valley Conservatory also specializes in educational
programs including music, art and dance that are customized to meet
the specific needs of one’s organization.
Valley Conservatory Director
Dr. Beatrice Renee Collins-Williams, conductor/music
educator/performer, is the founding director of the Valley
Conservatory. She has taught music education courses on the primary,
secondary, and collegiate levels. In addition to conducting several
orchestras including the Colorado Symphony, Women’s Philharmonic (San
Francisco) and members of the Aspen School of Music Festival Orchestra, she
has been recognized by the Colorado Music Educators and other Colorado
institutions for excellent teaching and superior performing ensembles. A
graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and Michigan State
University, Dr. Collins’ biography is listed in the International Who’s
Who in Music.
The
reputation of any conservatory rest on the caliber of its faculty. With more
than a dozen instructors on staff, the teachers at the Valley Conservatory are
graduates of some of the best music conservatories and universities in the
country.. Our instructors are dedicated to providing academic instruction,
guidance, assistance, and mentoring. We value the opportunity to prepare our
students for the discovery, integration, application, and dissemination of
knowledge.
Since its
inception in 1998, the Valley Conservatory has provided music instruction
and exposure in the classical arts to thousands of students and music lovers
throughout the Tennessee Valley.
